10 More Things on the "List of Me"

11.) I just had a patient tell me I'm a 'crackup,' so I guess I'm funny, or at least I like to think I am.

12.) I waste money. I don't know why, but I'm not happy unless I'm buying something. Doesn't have to be something expensive, just something. For instance, even though I have soda at my house I like to stop at the gas station anyways...this leads into number 13.

13.) I like to stop at the gas station 'where everyone knows my name' (did you hear me singing?) because I like to talk to random people. I sometimes get lonely in my car so I just stop to visit. My fiance thinks I'm weird cause I know the workers at a lot of the gas stations in our hood.

14.) I'm a pretty decent ice skater. When I was little my mom made me take classes. It's fun cause nobody knows that, and when we go ice skating every few years or so I can surprise my friends. No triple jumps or anything, just decent.

15.) I chew on my lip. It's bleeding right now. Yuck!

16.) I'll bust out a good one...My dad was in Federal Prison for 7 years of my childhood. You'd think that'd mess a girl up, but I like to think I'm okay. He made me ceramics and sent them to me, who's dad does that for them?

17.) This may be even better...when my father was busted my brother happened to also be doing naughty things. He was 20 and sentenced to 11 years in Federal Prison. He did not make me ceramics however.

18.) Now lets lighten things up. I have a freckle on my big toe :)

19.) I love, love, love to decorate for the holidays, all of them: St. Patricks day, Valentine's day, 4th of July....EVERYTHING! I'm like a little old lady but I do love it!

20.) I use windshield washer fluid excessively. I spray it all the time while I'm driving and even when other people are driving I'll clean the windshield. I just can't handle a messy window.

There you have it, we're almost like sisters now ;)

I'm a copycat, yes, I want to be like Shari

Shari has set a trend, I love the idea of "100 things About Me." I can't imagine who would want to read them, but hey it's the middle of the night, I haven't blogged in a week or so, and I've got nothing in my tired brain at this point. We'll start out light at first, you stick with me and I'll get down to the dirty stuff. So here we go people...

1.) I have a horrible case of "Foot in Mouth Syndrome." I have no filter from my brain to my mouth, this is horrible because I work with a bunch of women who easily become offended. People who are close to me know about this horrible disease and just tell me 'you're doing it.' They know better than to become offended.

2.) I have 5 siblings but was raised practically as an only child. My oldest brother is in his mid 40's, my youngest sister is 10. All of my older siblings were out of the house when I was growing up, I was soon out of the house by the time my little sister came along, so I am an only child with 5 brothers and sisters. Weird I know.

3.) I consume massive amounts of food and drink. I'm not a small person, but I should weight about 40o pounds for how often I eat. I drink about 2 Liters of Diet Mt. Dew, give or take, at least daily. I love Mt. Dew, I could not and would not live without it. It is my crack cocaine.

4.) I have a pencil pouch at work. It is very important to me. I cannot live without various shades of highlighters, pens and pencils. My co-workers like to steal it from me and watch me freak out. If my pen runs out of ink I request to go home (I never get to).

5.) I used to be really messy. I mean a disaster, like old food in my room and stuff. Now I'm kind of OCD about keeping my house in order...I just now need that to carry over to my car. On the floorboard of my car you will find several Dt. Dew cans.

6.) I don't know how many speeding tickets I have gotten in my lifetime. Somewhere between 20-30 at least. I drive just as fast as the average person, but I consistently get caught. Always, seems like I get a ticket about every 6 monthes now, which has substantially slowed down since my teenage years.

7.) I have baskets upon baskets of lotion in my bathroom. I love lotion. I buy and buy lotion even though I may have enough to last me until my mid 30s. It makes me happy so it goes.

8.) I'm loud, very loud. My voice carries and I hate it. I work nights and the patients complain they can hear me. I have no control over it, my poor fiance just tells me "I'm right here." The more excited I get, the louder I get.

9.) I have a big ass. I can get skinny and my butt is still big. I used to hate it, but I'm getting used to it. I will always have a big ass...no matter what. Anorexia could not shrink my ass.

10.) I don't know when to stop. I have a bad habit of pushing peoples buttons and laughing at it. Annoying huh. I'm getting better though, good things come with age.

Now you know...Hopefully I can keep up with this and continue to entertain and fascinate all ;)

I'm sick of it!

I feel like I gripe a lot in these blogs, but in 'real life' I'm a pretty cheerful person. So I use this blog as an outlet for my bitchiness. I have to steal Shari's "You'd bitch if they hung you with a new rope." That cracked me up for about 5 minutes at work tonight. I've already told like 5 people, they've been looking at me like I'm weird.

The point is, I came here to gripe about people reading my blog and not commenting. I have no bloggy friends except for Shari, God bless 'er. Someone please pay attention to my blog!

Halloween is over!

Well folks, it is 0317 on November 1st (I speak military time, I can't help it). This means nothing to you, but oh so much to me. This means Halloween is over, a sad time when we were younger, but wonderful now that I am a nurse. Let me recap last year's Halloween night here at the hospital. I'll have to make it a short recap as if I were to tell you everything that happened it may turn in to a short novel. The night began late for me, I came in at 11 o'clock so I could trick or treat with my 9 year old sister. As I'm getting report on a patient who I am told is alert and oriented, this patient comes wandering out completely out of her gord with all of her used-to-be lines pulled out. Myself and my WBF (work best friend if you didn't know) escort her back to her room. We take her in the bathroom where she begins to pass out, we lower her down to the ground where she proceeds to breathe her last breath out of her ass and fart onto the tile floor. We just had to laugh, however as we're laughing I realize "She's not breathing!" The two of us try to pick her up together while we're still laughing and hit heads. This does not make matters any easier. Laughing at the fart, hitting heads, a currently dead person (we did resuscitate her, don't worry). This was thrown in with the elevator getting stuck with nurses in it, everybody pulling every IV/foley/tube out possible, 2 patient falls (we normally go months without any) and just non-stop chaos. As you can imagine, I was dreading working tonight. Knock on wood, October 31st is over and things have been normal chaos, nothing too chaotic. Nobody farted on the floor and died, YAY! A drunk guy did come in and serenade me with Bob Segar 'Turn the Page,' that was kind of fun.

Tomorrow we give the builder all of our money we have saved :( Exciting though because they will begin to build. I will get a pic of us with our 'SOLD' sign posted soon. And Shari, for you I will post pictures up of my humble home.

I'm Baaaa-aaacckk!

Wow, I've been busy, no time to be nosing into other people's lives, just trying to keep my own in order. First things first, I'd like to thank Shari for giving me my very first 'blog award.' It meant a lot to me, I even figured out how to put it up on my page-- Yay for me!
Friday were the engagement pictures. It was the coldest, most miserable day ever. I sure hope my photographer can edit goose bumps out of the pictures. I was trying to smile but my lips were quivering, so we'll see. The park pictures we originally wanted did not happen. Grass, mud and high heels just don't go well together. I'll post some of the pics up when I get them.

Friday night was pumpkin carving time! We love carving pumpkins, we're such children.

Saturday we took the plunge. We had bought a piece of land to build a house but could still back out. Saturday we met with the builder and entered their contract. Construction should begin on our new, beautiful house in just a few weeks. Closing is April 30th, 2008! We get married June 7th, 2008--- Let's just say I can hardly wait for June 8th, 2008, we should finally be settled! I do believe I'm up for quite the roller coaster ride over the next 8 monthes or so.

Saturday night we had a few people over. Of coarse, you had to wear a costume, it is the weekend before Halloween people! I just HAD to be a Queen Bee, it suited me all to well! It's funny, my best friend and I (the fallen Angel in the pic below) never tell eachother what we're going to be for Halloween, we just love the surprise. A few years ago we showed up in the exact same costume, AND the exact same shoes from a different store! This year it was odd as well, we both wore tu-tu's and wings (mine were broken by this time of the night).

This of coarse meant that the rest of the weekend was spent recovering. It seems like drinking wipes me out anymore-- I'm getting so old! I just about couldn't get off the couch on Sunday. We didn't get out of the house until about 5:30 that evening! Pathetic!

Hope this catches everyone up! I should be working the rest of the week so more exciting posts to come I'm sure!

Ahhhhh! The Scale!

I'm getting married soon, in 8 months to be more precise. I've spent a fortune on a photographer, and don't want to have fat pictures. I know I'm supposed to care about how my fiance thinks I look and my friends etc...but I really don't, those people will love me. I just don't want to see those pictures. So, I've been attempting weight watchers for like the 20th time in my life. It worked well at first, then I fell off the wagon for my best-buds wedding and never got back on. Miraculously I have continued to lose a few pounds, I have no idea how, but I'm not complaining. It doesn't really help me though because I just keep eating whatever I want since I'm still losing, but I know it will catch up. Well this is my witnessed vow, to everyone, I will be back on the diet-wagon tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Asshole!!

So this sick, fat asshole needs help because he's pissed all over himself in the chair. Okay with me, I'm used to this. So two of us are lifting his big ass up, not an easy job to start with. He won't help AT ALL. We're completely holding him up, cleaning his smelly piss. As I try to lower him back into the chair it's not the smoothest landing, nothing horrible, but I just can't lower 300 pounds slowly into the chair. So he yells at me, "Stop throwing me!" I tell him I'm just trying to help, but since he won't help at all, I did my best. He shakes his fist in my face and tells me "You better watch it or I'll have your job." This shouldn't bother me, but it does. It gets your blood boiling and I just felt like yelling "You want my job?? You wanna wipe ass for a living, oh wait. You can't have my job because you can't even wipe your own ass!" These grouchy old people. You think when you become a nurse someone might say 'thank you' like once a week even...
